The animation world has suffered a heartbreaking loss following the sudden passing of beloved voice actor Eric Bauza, aged just 46.
Best known as the modern voice of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Tweety and countless other Looney Tunes favourites, Bauza dedicated his career to bringing laughter to audiences worldwide.
With more than 400 acting credits, his remarkable career included Space Jam: A New Legacy, Teen Titans Go!, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie.
Most recently, Bauza brought several iconic characters to life in Coyote vs. Acme, a film he passionately championed.
Just weeks ago, Movieland Australia had the absolute pleasure of interviewing Eric about the film, his career and his love for these legendary characters. He was genuinely full of light, life and enthusiasm. His infectious energy, kindness and humour made our conversation something we’ll always treasure.
His passing is an incredibly tragic loss, not only to the animation industry but to everyone whose lives he touched. Our heartfelt condolences go out to Eric’s family, friends and colleagues.
Rest in peace, Eric.
