HIM – Oct 2

From the mind of director Justin Tipping comes HIM, a haunting and thought-provoking psychological horror exploring the dangerous obsession with greatness and the cost of fame. Produced by Jordan Peele and Monkeypaw Productions, the creative team behind Get Out, Us, Candyman and Nope, the film delves into the inner sanctum of celebrity, ambition and sacrifice with chilling precision.

The story follows Cameron Cade, portrayed by rising star Tyriq Withers (Atlanta, I Know What You Did Last Summer), a gifted young quarterback whose promising career is shattered after a violent attack leaves him with a severe brain injury. Just as his dreams seem lost, his idol Isaiah White, played by Marlon Wayans (Air, Respect), offers him a lifeline, an invitation to train at his private estate. Isaiah, an eight time championship legend, lives there with his enigmatic influencer wife Elsie White, portrayed by Julia Fox (Uncut Gems, No Sudden Move).

But as the mentorship deepens, Cameron discovers that Isaiah’s charm conceals something far darker, pulling him into a psychological battle where winning may mean losing everything.

Supported by Tim Heidecker, Jim Jefferies, and featuring the feature film debuts of Maurice Greene, Guapdad 4000 and Tierra Whack, the film boasts a dynamic and unexpected ensemble.

Directed from a screenplay by Zack Akers, Skip Bronkie and Justin Tipping, HIM continues Monkeypaw’s legacy of genre defining storytelling. Combining sport, horror and social commentary, it examines the price of perfection in a world that worships power and performance.
