Dracula: A Love Tale – Oct 17

In Dracula: A Love Tale, director and screenwriter Luc Besson (The Fifth Element) offers a gothic romance that reimagines the iconic vampire legend through the lens of undying love and eternal longing.

The story begins in the 15th century, where Prince Vladimir (played by Caleb Landry Jones) loses his beloved wife, Elisabeta (portrayed by Zoë Bleu), and in grief renounces God, transforming into the vampire Count Dracula. Centuries later in 19th-century London, Vladimir encounters a woman who bears a striking resemblance to Elisabeta. Convinced she is his soulmate reborn, he becomes obsessed, unleashing forces that threaten both their destinies.

Besson is known for his stylish, emotionally driven filmmaking and here he leans into the romantic core of Bram Stoker’s original myth. His prior collaborations include high-concept thrillers and action epics, and with this film he ventures into darker supernatural territory while retaining his signature visual boldness and sweeping storytelling.

Dracula: A Love Tale arrives in Australian cinemas in October for Monster Festival at selected cinemas. A must see event on the big screen.
