Long time fans of Matt Groening’s cult classic animated sci fi comedy can rejoice as Season 13 of Futurama is on its way. The entire 10 episode batch will be dropping on Disney Plus on Monday September 15 2025!
This season marks a departure from the previous release strategy. While Seasons 11 and 12 unfolded on a weekly basis the new instalment embraces a binge friendly model delivering all episodes simultaneously.
What can viewers expect The trailer and early synopses tease classic Futurama chaos. Bender goes rampaging, a volcano threatens to erupt, Fry faces a romantic rival for Leela’s affections, and in an absurd twist Dr Zoidberg might just float off to heaven.
The revival continues to be powered by its original creative squad with Matt Groening and David X Cohen at the helm alongside executive producers Ken Keeler and Claudia Katz. The full ensemble voice cast including Billy West, Katey Sagal, John DiMaggio, Tress MacNeille, Maurice LaMarche, Lauren Tom, Phil LaMarr and David Herman return to breathe life into New New York’s most beloved inhabitants.
Having made its comeback in 2023 this revival of Futurama now has a clear plan with Seasons 13 and 14 mapped out through 2026. The Planet Express crew has proven they still have plenty of wild stories to tell from outrageous sci fi adventures to touching explorations of love and loyalty.
So mark your calendars for September 15. The crew is back bigger zanier and more binge ready than ever and Futurama remains one of the most inventive animated comedies of all time.
