Vin Diesel talks Fast X: Part 2 and the return of Brian O’Conner

At the recent FuelFest event in Pomona, California, Vin Diesel unveiled significant details about the forthcoming “Fast & Furious” installment, tentatively titled “Fast X: Part 2” Scheduled for release in April 2027, this film is poised to serve as the franchise’s grand finale, marking a return to its foundational themes and characters.

Diesel emphasised his commitment to steering the series back to its origins, highlighting three pivotal conditions he set for the film’s production

  1. Los Angeles Setting: Reestablishing the narrative in Los Angeles, the city where the saga commenced, to recapture the authentic atmosphere of the early films.
  2. Street Racing and Car Culture: Shifting focus back to the underground street racing scene and the vibrant car culture that initially defined the series.
  3. Reunion with Brian O’Conner: Reintroducing Paul Walker’s character, Brian O’Conner, to reunite him with Diesel’s Dominic Toretto, aiming to honor their iconic partnership.

Paul Walker, who tragically passed away in 2013, portrayed Brian O’Conner, a central figure in the franchise. To facilitate his character’s return, the production plans to utilize a combination of CGI technology and previously unreleased footage, with the collaboration of Walker’s family to ensure a respectful and authentic portrayal.
