FX’s Alien: Earth Drops Official Trailer — Streaming August 13 Exclusively on Disney+

Disney+ has unveiled the official trailer for the upcoming FX original sci-fi series Alien: Earth — a high-stakes, adrenaline-charged addition to the Alien franchise, created for television by Emmy® Award-winner Noah Hawley (Fargo, Legion). The series is set to premiere August 13, with the first two episodes streaming exclusively on Disney+ in Australia at 10:00am AEST. Each of the eight episodes will roll out weekly on Wednesdays at the same time.

Set in a deeply corporatized future, Alien: Earth collides high-concept science fiction with gritty survival horror. The plot kicks off when the deep-space research vessel USCSS Maginot crash-lands on Earth, igniting a series of terrifying events. At the heart of the chaos is Wendy (played by Sydney Chandler), a hybrid prototype caught in a corporate and existential war that redefines what it means to be human.

The year is 2120. Earth is under the control of five mega-corporations: Prodigy, Weyland-Yutani, Lynch, Dynamic, and Threshold. Within this Corporate Era, humans coexist with cyborgs (biological-mechanical hybrids) and synthetics (AI-powered humanoids). But a revolutionary leap emerges: hybrids—humanoid robots infused with human consciousness. Wendy, the first of her kind, represents a breakthrough in the race for immortality. But when Weyland-Yutani’s ship slams into Prodigy City, what emerges from the wreckage threatens not only corporate dominance but the survival of the species itself.

The new trailer teases unsettling glimpses of terrifying new lifeforms and chilling corporate warfare, set against a backdrop of post-human identity and raw alien horror.

The international ensemble cast is as expansive as the series’ world-building. Sydney Chandler leads alongside Timothy Olyphant (Kirsh), Alex Lawther (Hermit), Samuel Blenkin (Boy Kavalier), Babou Ceesay (Morrow), Adrian Edmondson (Atom Eins), David Rysdahl (Arthur Sylvia), Essie Davis (Dame Sylvia), Lily Newmark (Nibs), Erana James (Curly), Adarsh Gourav (Slightly), Jonathan Ajayi (Smee), Kit Young (Tootles), Diêm Camille (Siberian), Moe Bar-El (Rashidi), and Sandra Yi Sencindiver as Yutani.

The series is executive produced by Noah Hawley, Ridley Scott, David W. Zucker, Joseph Iberti, Dana Gonzales, and Clayton Krueger, and is produced by FX Productions in association with Brontë Film and TV and Warner Bros. Television.

Parental controls are in place to ensure Alien: Earth remains accessible only to mature audiences. With robust profile protections, Disney+ maintains its commitment to safe and customizable family viewing.

Brace yourself. The next evolution of horror begins August 13.
