Directed by Joy Hopwood and filmed in Sydney, Her Last Laugh follows two sisters, Willow and Annika Lim, who are navigating the immense grief of losing their mother. They inherit their late mother’s casting agency, “Laughing Lim’s,” but it comes with a stressful catch: they face a strict deadline to make the business profitable. If they fail, ownership will transfer entirely to their authoritarian uncle, Stephen Lim. While Willow fights tooth and nail to save the family business, Annika sets out on a personal quest to find her father.
